N95 Respirator Fit Testing: Train the Trainer

Cal/Osha requires any employer with occupational exposure to aerosol transmissible diseases (ATDs) to safeguard the health of the exposed worker.  Using a disposable N95 Respirator is an effective and relatively inexpensive personal protection device commonly deployed by health care providers.  N95 respirators are only effective when a proper fit is achieved.  An employee must be properly fit-tested for a particular N95 respirator before donning that respirator.  Your organization should have one or several trained fit-testers on staff in case of an outbreak.
